BAND WOWS CROWD AT WET FOURTH OF JULY
Once again, the GMHS Marching Band entertained the crowds at the annual Groveport
Fourth of July parade. Despite the rain, parade planners decided to go on with the parade. "Rain or shine," said
the man in charge.
The new band bus followed the band in the parade and many positive comments were
heard throughout the crowd.
Thanks to the parents who walked with the band and drove the bus. You guys
are awesome.
Next up: Pre-band camp Monday through Thursday
July 14 - 17. We'll be rehearsing music every evening and hope to be well on our
way with the musical presentation of our competition show and stand music.
CODE OF CONDUCT MEETING - MANDATORY
You will NOT go to band camp if you and your parent/guardian fail to attend one
of the scheduled meetings!

Congrats to all our members for a job well done at the 4th of July parade. The
rain was unpleasant, but you handled it well. Lines were straight and the sound of the band was full and well-balanced.
Thanks for your hard work and dedication. You are fabulous.
WHEN ARE FEES DUES?
Instrument use fee is due NOW!!!!!! $25 - all
students who use a school owned instrument including percussion
Band Camp Fee is due NOW!!!!! $185 total (you probably paid the
$100 deposit back in March)-all marching band students
Winter Uniform Fee is due by September 1st - $35 - all marching
band students
You will need gloves and shoes for the winter uniform - $30 shoes,
$4 gloves - due by September 1st
Summer Uniform is needed for 4th of July parade-see below for info*
