The 2009 Groveport Madison High School Band Formal was indeed a success. Organized by band officers Kristin Decker,
Andrew Mackley, Monica Sivixay, and Chelsea Holbrook, the event took place at
La Scala Italian Bistro from 6-10PM on Valentine's Day.
Upon arrival, all band members were asked to vote for King and Queen. Then, they took their seats and waited to
be served delicious chicken parmesan along with salad and bread. Music was played during the meal.
To kick off the dancing, the votes were counted for band King and Queen. Last years King and Queen [Andrew Mackley &
Kristin Decker] crowned our new King and Queen Aaron England and Alex Thomas. After both groups danced, the dance floor
opened. Dancing lasted all evening to popular music decided by the band.
Other activities that took place were photos of band couples, and senior slideshow footage was taken.
