The 2009 GMHS Band Banquet went great. 

The evening began with awards to every member, for their participation in the Groveport band program. These were awarded in order from 1-3 years of participation. Then, the jazz awards were awarded in the same order. The boosters came to the stage, and awarded the director, with chocolates and flowers. They then announced the band booster King and Queen. The winners were Mr. John George, and Mrs. Anna George. 

Following the boosters presentation, the highly anticipated Wacky Awards were presented by hosts Alex Thomas, Nathan Barraco, and Aaron England. The awards can be reviewed below. After the Wacky awards, Aaron England presented the Senior class with a goodbye letter, thanking them for their leadership over the last 4 years. The letter can be viewed in full below. 

Immediately following was the senior slideshow (Below). After the slideshow, the 2008 officers announced the 2009 officers. 

The new officers are: Pres. Aaron England, VPres. Nathan Barraco, Sec. Matt Koenig, Treas. Alexandria Thomas.

Finally, the seniors were all individually called up, and given their 4 year plaques. A standing ovation followed.

 The event went well, and we are each ready for next year.
