Band Sponsors High School Talent Show
The 2009 GMHS talent show was a hit! The band sponsored the event, and it was hosted by Aaron England. The show consisted of singers, dancers, rappers, and a comedic skit. Band members who participated were; Nathan Barraco, Matt Koenig, Alex Thomas, Rachel Tanner and Brandon Lively.

A message from band president Aaron England,
AMP Energy, whose parent company Pepsi/Frito-Lay is a sponsor of the Groveport Madison Local School District as well as Dale Earnhardt Jr, and the #88 AMP Energy Chevrolet Impala SS team proudly released the winners of the 2009 "Ride With Dale Jr." contest.
What is this contest? It is a entry based competition were select NASCAR fans, celebrities, political groups, and other significant entries are chosen to be placed on the #88 car in a race.
I am pleased to announce that the Groveport Band was selected as one of the chosen winners, and we will be "Riding With Dale" next Sunday, November 1st, at the AMP Energy 500 from Talladega Superspeedway. The race will be broadcast live on ABC at Noon. Click Below to see us on the car.

Congratulations to the GMHS Marching Cruisers. They earned a (I) Superior rating on Saturday evening at the Golden Sound Showcase at Teays Valley High School, finishing third place overall in the AA class.
The band got straight ones in every category.
With this performance, the band has quailified for OMEA state final competition.
Good Luck at State Finals!

Congratulations to the Matthew Koenig for making the Columbus Youth Symphonic Band tonight. He earned 1st chair trumpet in his audition for the band.

Watch WCMH-4 this Friday from 5-6pm LIVE, as they broadcast pre-game festivities from the Cruisers Vs. Shamrocks game at Cruiser Stadium.

The band performed at the Hilliard Invitational and got 2nd place in the AA Class. The performance was loved by the crowd. The percussionists were awarded "Best Percussion; AA" and "Best Percussion; Overall"

Congratulations to the Groveport High School varsity football team, as they defeated Pickerington North High School 14-10 tonight making their record 4-0. Next week we play 9-25-09 Dublin Coffman (H) 7:30. GO CRUISERS!

The marching band will be performing at the Hilliard Bradley High School in marching band competition. Band members should arrive at Groveport High School by 2:00pm. They will perform at 6:45pm. Directions can be found on the homepage.

The band participated in a 9/11 tribute during pre-game by joining in a moment of silence and playing "Freedom" before the national anthem.
